baby birds
Hi,
My dream is me walking through the house of the man I am involved with. As I walk, I see him, and when I look around I see shelves with baby birds chirping, each time my eye looks around his house, except when I look at him.

The chirping birds probably represent the developing joy you feel for your current bf. My sense is you may be enamored by him and you are wondering who he really is {eye looking around his house} and/or the possibilities of the relationship. You may want to go slow with the relationship, try being more objective and not too emotionally joyfully.

you are so right jerry, its a long distance thing, and we have both recently gone thru upheavals in our lives. I am very lustful, and feeling oriented woman and he fulfills that perfectly. I have been very uncertain where this is going, but the night of the dream I had a really life changing day and sent him a message which he returned later that night and he was so sweet supportive, and we had a fabulous night together. Then I had the dream. I have known him since march but rarely dream about him. This was special.
I will be cautious...

Thanks for the follow up response. Such a simple dream that reflects your true emotions. And although the long distance relationship seems promising I still advise a go slow approach. When you are able to look into the eyes of the fellow you will better able to determine his worthiness.
While on the subject of the 'heart' I am reminded of one of my favorite poems that has to do with the love and relationships. And as usual it was Joseph Campbell who brought it to my attention, which reminds me of a long distance affair I had {via the internet} which turned into a short relationship.

dark night dream
In this dream I was speaking with two friends. We were all US military wives, but the other two women were from Korea. We were bored, and decided we would try to sneak around the military base where we all lived. It was a dark, dark night. No stars were out, and neither was the moon. It was completely dark. Usually it is no trouble to walk around the base at night, but this night, the military was transporting some kind of secret things in trucks. Everyone on base knew that no one was supposed to be out that night, but we went out anyway. We went our separate ways to sneak around the base just for the thrill of it. I was sneaking through housing, following a sidewalk between houses. All of the houses were completely dark, and all of the streetlights were out as well. At the end of the block I saw several trucks parked. The trucks were lit by dim yellow lighting from above and guarded by military police, but all I could see were round blue helmets on their heads. The uniforms were also blue. I could not distinguish any facial features on the police. I was terrified they would find me. They saw me moving at my end of the block, and some of them fanned out to try to find me. I hunkered down and was keeping as low as I could as I crouched and walked between two of the houses, trying desperately not to be seen. The police were getting closer, but I awoke with a start before they found me.

Could this dream have something to do with 'regimentation' in your life that prevents you from 'all you can be' or want to be? Have you recently given more thought or energy to this aspect of your life? There may be a need let these emotions out, something the environment in which you reside prohibits or frowns upon. Your only options are to be 'secretive' about your desires, keep these thoughts/desires to yourself. This may be due to being true to your obligations. There is only the 'dimmest' of light at the end of the tunnel for escape, or at least it seems that way. Your regimented structured environment may prevent you from moving forward. You feel trapped.
The police may represent commitments/obligations in life. But they could also represent the pressure to be your true self, searching for that place where you can be that person, getting closer to that self. The more your present environment prevents you from progressing toward those goals the more your unconscious self will seek to find a way out. Changing the outer environment is the only way you can change the inner. Of course it is not that easy. One step at a time, eliminating one obligation at a time may be the answer. But there must be a start and then holding to it. Discipline, a new regimentation to a new self.

Jerry, I think you have hit the nail on the head with this one. Regimentation is represented by a program that we are now following at my workplace which requires "standardization" of just about everything. I'm a teacher, and our focus is now on "standardized classrooms" and pacing guides, etc. I am also responsible for the care of two elderly parents. I feel overwhelmed every day, and I do most certainly feel trapped. Interesting how my subconcious is telling me in pictures something that I think about everyday. I guess my dream life is echoing my discontent with my waking life and urging me to do something about it. Now, if it would only explain how I can make things better...

Eyes falling out
My four-year old had a dream that my eyes had fallen out? This occurred last night and he was pretty upset. A few nights earlier he was questionning my wife if I were Santa Claus and I was going to leave him. I assume it was from watching the Tim Allen "Santa Clause" movie and my beard is turning white. At the least, any pearls about me lossing my eyes?

Children's dreams can be hard to interpret since they have so little life experience. But the eyes represent sight and in a child's eyes they not only see things they learn to comprehend. If this dream is related to Santa Clause and the prior experiences you mentioned, his dream of your eyes following out may suggest he is having a hard time 'comprehending' the whole concept of Santa Claus, having seen Tim Allen as Santa and then seeing you with a white beard. His little mind sees things in terms of fantasy and not reality. Trying to explain Santa Clause in adult terms {although you may have tried to put it into words he might understand} could have left him more bewildered. Daddy does not see Santa as does he does. Instead of seeing a blind you {something he would also have problems comprehending} his mind sees things in animated, cartoon images. Eyes falling out would be a norm in his world, not something so drastic as we would see it in reality.
The dream could not even be related to Santa {although it is a good possibility}. Although a child's mind is different than an adult's the dream still would likely be symbolic {the language of dreams are of symbols and metaphor}. Are there any recent experiences where there were such symbolic references that would fit with your 'eyes falling out'? Something he saw involving eyes that has associations with you? Thing like a child and then think like the dream. Fantasy for a child is reality. In dreams is symbolic.

Thanks makes sense. I have been juggling health issues which my son doesn't know. Hence, a family hx of glaucoma and 4-year olds bad dream make for anxiety. Thanks

Tall Baby
Hi,
Last night I dreamed that I was delivering a baby (in the dream I am aware I am 50 years old). The baby is born, and it is a boy. The baby stands up and is almost as tall as me and resembles a six year old boy. I am very surprised by this, and think to myself "why have I had a baby at 50 years old...this is going to be so hard" I also remember trying to come up with a name for the baby, and I am trying to type "baby names" on my computer search bar, and my fingers keep hitting the wrong keys. I am very frustrated about this, and give up. I remember telling someone that I was thinking of naming him Stephen Jonathan (don't know of any significance of this name, except that my brother's name is Steven). The whole feeling of the dream was that I felt very overwhelmed.

The opening statement suggests something new is occurring in the present time, something new is 'being born' at the age of 50. The new baby is a boy, perhaps suggesting something to do with 'standing up' and being tall as you should be in some aspect of your life {standing up for yourself is a masculine quality}. It is hard for you to do this at this stage of your life. You are having difficulty in expressing this part of yourself, feelings of frustration perhaps having real life associations. Also look to real life experiences of feeling overwhelmed.
As for naming this 'new baby' Stephen Jonathan. The spelling is different to your brother's name such nuances can be important} but could have associations with your brother.

Hi Jerry,
Thanks for your insight. It really made me think, because I was just recently fired from my job as a surgical nurse, and it hit me really hard. I caught one of the doctor's (the owner of the surgery center) lying to someone about something that I felt was very important. I confronted him about lying, and I got fired a week later. So, your interpretation was very interesting to me! I guess I am facing a new beginning;standing up for myself didn't turn out so good for my employment, but I felt like it was good for my soul.
